Ganbara Hostel - Self Check In - Bilbao

Great location, within walking distance to major attractions and close to public transportation.

The noise level was quite high, especially due to the close proximity of the metro and street noise echoing throughout the hostel.

Great location, friendly staff, full kitchen, comfy beds, nice showers.

I recently stayed at Ganbara in the historical area of Bilbao for a few nights. The location was excellent, with easy access to bars and important places, as well as being close to the metro station. The staff, especially the girl who was going to Hungary or Finland, went above and beyond to take care of my check-in and provided great recommendations. The hostel had free breakfast, a clean kitchen for cooking, and the beds were made when I arrived. The lockers, breakfast, and bedsheets were included in the price, which is exactly what you imagine a good budget backpacker hostel to be. a highly recommended stay with many great features.

The hostel had a nice kitchen and common areas, which were great for socializing and meeting fellow travelers. The bathroom was clean and modern, and I especially liked the fact that the showers had hot water all day. the location of the hostel was superb, with key attractions and amenities within walking distance.

The hostel had limited toilets and showers, which sometimes caused inconvenience. It would have been better if they provided towels and a small bottle of shampoo in the shower.

During our recent stay at Ganbara Hostel - Self Check In, we had a minor issue with our reservation. they quickly called another hostel to help us find a solution. Despite the language barrier, they were able to assist us and ensure we had a place to stay. the breakfast provided at the hostel was excellent and had a wide variety of options.

The communal areas of the hostel were great - a nice kitchen and common areas that were clean and well-maintained. We also enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The location was superb, with restaurants, shops, and bars nearby, and just a short walk from the metro station.

The lack of atmosphere in the hostel, which was a bit different from other places we've stayed at. the automatic lights in the bathroom were quite annoying, constantly turning on and off while we were using it.

The kitchen and common areas were nice, providing a good space to socialize with other guests. The location was also great, being in close proximity to the old town and metro station. Additionally, the staff was friendly and provided helpful recommendations for exploring the area.

There were a few aspects of my stay that I did not enjoy. the Wi-Fi was incredibly slow and often did not work at all, making it difficult to stay connected.

The staff is super friendly and accommodating. the lockers are spacious and free. the common areas are large and welcoming with various seating options and books/games. the kitchen is well-equipped. the hostel attracts wonderful people to meet and converse with. the location is perfect, close to the train station. the WiFi is reliable and strong. Breakfast is good. the hostel offers various activities throughout the week. the 4-bed dorm is well laid out with easy access to lockers. Good water pressure in the shower and a small dressing area.

The only thing that could make the breakfast better is if they had a wider selection of meats and cheeses.
